ABOUT SAGE

Our Leadership

Meet the people shaping a new model of education for twice-exceptional students.

Co-Founders

The Sage School was founded by three professionals who bring together lived experience, deep expertise, and hard-won leadership skills — each arriving at the same conviction from a different direction. Together, they founded Sage because they’d each seen — as an educator, as a leader, and as parents — the same gap in what schools offer 2e students. Sage is what they built to close it.

Board of Trustees

Sage’s Board of Trustees brings together decades of experience in strategy, finance, and operations from some of the country’s most demanding industries — grounded, for more than one member, by the same firsthand parent experience that shaped Sage’s founding. Rounding out the board, Co-Founder Kristen Dauphinais serves as Board President, with fellow Co-Founders Jessica Rall and Dr. Mandi Skerbetz serving as Ex Officio members — ensuring the perspective that founded Sage stays close to the table that governs it.

Advisory Board

Sage’s mission is built on a simple idea: twice-exceptional students deserve a school designed around real research into how they learn, grow, and thrive. Our Advisory Board ensures we continue to build on our mission, keeping the latest research top of mind. This is a group of leading researchers, clinicians, and educators in gifted education, special education, and neurodiversity — people who have spent their careers studying exactly the population Sage serves, and who work directly with our team to help shape our curriculum, our social-emotional and executive functioning supports, and the way we train and develop our faculty. Together, this board ensures that Sage’s approach isn’t built on instinct alone—it’s built on the same research and clinical expertise that leaders in gifted education, special education, and neurodiversity rely on nationally.

The administration and faculty at Sage are great. I have real conversations with them, both in person and over the phone. They get back to you, and it's never just through an email.
